Biography

• Graduated with honors from UCLA
• Graduated with highest honors from her optometry school
• Is the Center Director for the San Diego LASIK Institute
• Has extensive experience in the pre/post operative management of LASIK
• Is passionate about improving lives through refractive surgery   

Dr. Irina Darrow is the San Diego LASIK Institute’s Center Director. She graduated with honors from UCLA with a degree in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics and a minor in Italian. Dr. Darrow continued her education at the prestigious Southern California College of Optometry, where she obtained her Doctorate in Optometry with the highest Summa Cum Laude honors.

While attending optometry school, Dr. Darrow was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and served on the events committee of the Spanish Optometric Society. As President of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, she participated in a medical mission trip to Kenya, Africa that examined and dispensed a few thousand glasses over the course of two weeks.

Dr. Darrow passionately serves her local and global community by providing vision care to those who do not have existing access. During her clinical rotations, Dr. Irina Darrow acquired outstanding ocular health experience at VA Bakersfield, LASIK and PRK proficiency through the U.S. Naval Medical Center in San Diego and coordinated management of advanced ophthalmological cases at the SDA Clinic in Guam.

Today, Dr. Irina Darrow serves alongside the San Diego LASIK Institute team to provide excellent vision care to all patients with compassion and expertise, as we would all family members. She is actively involved in the pre-operative and post-operative care of the San Diego LASIK Institute’s patients. She is committed to providing the highest levels of care to our patient family.
